``How do I get my own GuestPAD?"

Refer to the Instructions page.  You basically need to make a simple HTML link to guestpad.com/cgi-bin/guest.cgi?<GuestPAD Name> replacing the <GuestPAD Name> with your own name or one you make up.

``Do I have to pay for my use of the GuestPAD?"

We cover the Use Agreement on our Instructions page, however, you are not obligated to pay for your use of the GuestPAD, although we would like you to register.  There are some definite benefits that come with registering your GuestPAD.

``What do I get for registering my GuestPAD?"

If you register, you can edit/delete the entries within your own GuestPAD.  You do not have to contact and wait for us to get around to editing your GuestPAD...  You will also be given the ability to edit the appearance of your GuestPAD.  You can add music, images, backgrounds, and just about any text to your GuestPAD, making it look more a part of your site.

``Someone used profane language while signing my GuestPAD and I would like it removed - I have not registered my GuestPAD, though."

We will remove entries from your GuestPAD if they contain profane language.  E-mail us your GuestPAD Name, your URL, and the entry that you would like us to delete.  We usually get to these within the same day that you e-mail us with your request.  However, it can take up to 2 days for us to respond.  If you would like more control over this, we suggest that you register your GuestPAD.

``Can I request to have the appearance of my GuestPAD changed without registering?"

No.

``How long does my registration last?"

Forever... or for as long as this site exists - which we've been around since early 1996, so it's doubtful we'll be going off-line any time soon.  Besides...  it's only $20.00, one time!  Most people pay that every month for Internet Access - Register Here.

``I've done everything the Instructions page says and I still can't get my GuestPAD to work.  What do I do now?"

Check on our support page for information about how to contact us.  Send us the exact HTML that you placed within your home page and also the URL to your home page.  If we do not receive these two bits of information, it will be extremely difficult for us to help you.  We will get back to you as quickly as possible.

``Do you give discounts to Schools or nonprofit organizations?"

Yes, we do.  If you are a nonprofit organization, charitable organization, or a school (school teachers included if your pages pertain to your classes or curriculum) then we will register your GuestPAD, free of charge and help you set it up if necessary.  Please contact us directly and send us the URL for your home page to receive your free GuestPAD registration.

``I want to backup my GuestPAD entries - can you help me?"

To backup the entries within your GuestPAD, you will have to View your complete GuestPAD and then save that page using Netscape or MSIE - typically, you can just click on File | Save As and your browser will save the page you are viewing as an html file.  You can review this page later by double-clicking on it - unless you're using UNIX - in which case, you should know better...

Remember, too, for registered users, we back-up their GuestPAD data, so if you are a registered user and you want a copy of your current GuestPAD, contact our support department.

``I chose a name that brought up someone else's GuestPAD?  What should I do?"

The GuestPAD does not use a registration database to create new names any time you want to create a new GuestPAD.  So, there is a chance that when you choose a name for your GuestPAD, it may already be in use.  If this is the case, you need to select a different name or a different case of letters within the name you want.  This will usually solve the problem.  If you can't find a ``special" name to bring up a new GuestPAD - contact us, we'll give you a name.
